**Who Is Edward Harrigan?**


Edward Harrigan(October 26,1844-June 6,1911)(sometimes called Ned Harrigan),was an urish&american actor,playwright, singer and dancer. His career started in minstrelsy and variety but progressed to the production of muti-act plays full of singing,dancing and physical-comedy. He is one of the founding Fathers of modern American musical theatre. He formed one of the most celebrated partnership with Tony Hart and later took over when Tony Hart died at the age of the age of 36.

      'Harrigan' is a song written by George M.Cohan for the 1907 Broad way musical 'Fifty Miles From Boston',he celebrates and to some extent mocks his own heritage and also pays an affectionate homage to Edward Harrigan.

I was coming home from work that evening when I remembered that I ought to check if my younger sister's result is out,she just did her secondary school cerficate examination.
